Community Helpers

Community Helpers
This week we talked about many people who help us around our community. We had some pretty fun centers set up around our room. We had a post office set up with envelopes, stickers, stamps and post cards. There was a construction site set up in the sensory table with rocks and trucks.  A big thank you to Officer Shultz for letting us view the inside of a police car! He came to speak in Ms. Tracy's class and was kind enough to let our class join in!

Snowmen

Snowmen

The blog is finally working! I am so sorry about not being able to upload the pictures. I know everyone looks forward to viewing it every week. This week our theme was snowmen. We had some pretty cool centers this week to go along with our theme. My favorite was the shaving cream snowman. We had two Ziploc bags with faces of a snowman glued on them. Inside of the bags was shaving cream and the snowman's nose. The kids were to squish around the bag until they could get the nose in the correct spot. They absolutely loved it! We have been working on group table top centers. The kids have done an awesome job! Next week we will start working on individual centers when we are arriving in the morning! I loved seeing all of the family projects! Thank you so much for all of your support!

Gingerbread

Gingerbread

Run, Run, as fast as you can you can't catch me I am the Gingerbread Man! The kids are having a blast with the Christmas themes! This week's theme was Gingerbread. One of our crafts was to decorate our own Gingerbread man or woman. They turned out so cute! We have two Christmas trees in our room for the kids to decorate. Of course that was the favorite activity this week. I can't wait until next weeks theme! I love seeing them so excited!

Thanksgiving &Polar Express

Thanksgiving and Polar Express

Sorry I have not posted in a few weeks! On this post I am posting pictures of our fun Thanksgiving feast and the Polar Express week.
We had so much fun at our feast. Each class wore a Pilgrim hat or an Indian headdress. We all gathered in Ms. Tracy's room and had snack. It was so awesome so see all of the little ones bow their heads for the prayer. They all did very well being all together.

The Polar Express was a huge hit in our class. We all came to school in our pj's to go along with our theme. Each child was given a ticket to ride the polar express train. While they were all seated I read the Polar Express book. After the story was over each child received a bell and then we enjoyed a cookie and Chocolate milk with marshmallows.

Turkeys

                                                               Turkeys

This week was turkey week! We had fun reading silly turkey books and singing silly turkey songs. Our favorite was : Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey, big and fat, big and fat, I am going to eat you, I am going to eat you, just like that, just like that. I loved hearing all of the giggles while we sang this song at circle. We also had fun making our crafts and learning the letter T. Look at how much fun we have at preschool!

Thank you for all the trike a thon donations!
