Our First Week At Our New School

We had a wonderful first week at our new school!  The children loved exploring the new room.  We added a few new items to our room that were a big hit.  There is a light table with several stencils and tools the children can use.  We now have a circus tent in our reading area so that the children can take a book in and relax.  Amy and I are absolutely loving our new space!  The big hit this week was the Adventure Lab.  The children couldn't wait to go in and enjoy all of the fun activities. They sure enjoy the new water fountain as well! They feel like the big boys and girls walking to get a drink after our turn in the lab.  Thank you so much for the smooth the transition this week.  I hope you enjoy our pictures!

  We had so much fun with our dentist theme this week! Thank you to Dr. Jenkins for coming in and teaching us how to keep the sugar bugs away.  The children absolutely loved when he came to visit. They were telling a lot of stories about their own teeth.  We had some pretty neat centers and crafts to go along with our dentist theme.  The children loved playing with the dentist play-dough kit and the teeth brushing craft.  At circle time we discussed what foods are good for your teeth and what foods are not.  The song that is listed above was the favorite song this week.  I loved hearing them walking around the room singing it!

 

  We would also like to thank Ms. Jennifer for coming in an introducing the Mind-In-Motion activities. They all loved doing this so much! I am so excited to incorporate this in our everyday schedule at the new building!
